August 28th or 29th at the Bountiful Regional Center in North Salt Lake
September 4th, 5th, and 7th at an LDS Chapel in Orem
ELIGIBILITY: Latter-day Saint actors and their friends of other faiths, ages 7 years and older. Minors under 18 must have a parent/guardian audition to be considered for participation.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Speaking Roles: Bring your resume and 16 bars of a song to sing that shows your vocal range and ability; a Broadway ballad or a song from Savior of the World would be appropriate. An accompanist will be provided.
Ensemble Roles: You may sing a hymn or Primary song for your audition as an individual or as a family. An accompanist will be provided.

If you are planning to audition with others (family or friends) please make sure each individual has filled out the audition form and signed up for their own audition slot. Walk-ins are welcome! If your preferred date and time is not available, please come anyway, and we will make room for you when an opening occurs.
CALLBACKS: Callbacks will be held by invitation only September 13th and 14th at the Bountiful Regional Center. Rehearsals begin September 21, 2023, and the production runs from November 21-December 28 in the Conference Center in Salt Lake. PROJECT: Nauvoo Performing Missionaries - 2025

PROJECT: Each year, single Latter-day Saints ages 18 to 25 are called and set apart to serve as performing missionaries. These missionaries serve at Historic Nauvoo and Carthage Jail for 14 weeks between May and October. The program features three groups: band members, actors, and production technicians.
SEEKING: Single members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ages 18 to 25 from the U.S. and Canada are invited to audition to serve as performing missionaries—singers, dancers, band musicians, and production technicians—helping with musical and stage productions in Historic Nauvoo. Only a limited number of missionaries can be called. Talent, training, and experience are very important. Other significant qualifications include physical health and character traits such as spiritual maturity, willingness to obey mission rules, and enthusiasm for serving.
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: As with any mission assignment, performers are required to be temple-worthy. They commit to live by missionary standards and follow a rigorous schedule of preparation, rehearsal, and performances.
DATES: The 2025 season will include opportunities for performers to serve in Nauvoo in one of three casts:
Spring cast (does not include dancing in the pageants or Brass Band) March 14-June 24
Summer cast (includes dancing in pageants and Nauvoo Brass Band) May 2 – August 12
Fall Cast (includes dancing in pageants) June 24 – October 14
LOCATION: Nauvoo, IL
CALLBACKS: All applicants will receive notification about callbacks by mid-November. Callbacks are by invitation only and will take place in Orem, Utah in January. It is most advantageous to attend callbacks in person. For those living more than 3 hours away from Orem your callback can be held virtually.
Notification will be sent to callback candidates about their acceptance status by late January 2025. At that time, accepted candidates will receive instructions on how to complete a senior service missionary application. They will then be issued a call by their stake president. They will be set apart before leaving for Nauvoo.
PROJECT: Love, Share, Invite (LSI)
DEADLINE to APPLY: Please submit your application by end-of-day Monday, August 12, 2024. Short introductory video required.
SEEKING: Converts to the Church who can speak on-camera about receiving invitations from members to a variety of activities. Adults of all ages, over 18 years and all ethnicities and backgrounds are welcome.
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: Must be an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
COMPENSATION: This is a VOLUNTEER opportunity.
